Mission
OTW’s goal is to contribute to the responsible revitalization of the Charlotte Corridor with the creation of an outdoor contemporary art installation, and to foster the diversified spirit needed for a community to thrive through arts participation and exposure.
Besides, it’s a giant 1200′ wall. Why not make it awesome?
Why?
Known as Music City to the world, Nashville’s burgeoning arts and culture scene is thriving. Improving access to music, visual arts, performance art, the maker-culture, and ethnic arts will help Nashville create a diverse and vibrant place for talent to flourish and creativity to grow.
“Creative Placemaking animates public and private spaces, rejuvenates structures
and streetscapes, improves local business viability and public safety, and brings diverse people together to celebrate, inspire, and be inspired.” –Ann Markusun
COLLABORATION
Working alongside local non-profits like Oasis Center, Poverty & the Arts, Tennessee Donate Life, Park Center, and Room in the Inn allows us the opportunity to engage the public with their programming. The art created is a reflection of the diverse community and the mission behind these amazing organizations.
